| Day 12 (Wed. Sept. 12) DAY OFF We stayed at our old drummers new place in phoenix for the day. relaxing in his pool and eating all his food. what are friends for, right?
Day 13 (Thurs. Sept 13) The Rekoning Loft/Riverside,Ca HOT HOT HEAT We left jays house around 10 am. it was already 92 degrees out. by the time we got out of Phoenix,Az it was 100 degrees on the highway. our van, the big green monster, does not like heat....at all. it started over heating and we started fretting. wise age comes wisdom,i've been at this for over 4 years now. i know to leave early for everyshow. and we did jsut that, giving ourselves an extra 3 hours. and we took full advantage of all 3 of those extra hours. everytime it would peak at overheating we pulled over to let it cool down. at 1:30 we stopped for lunch in quartzstop,az. we took our time to eat and check out all the little shops around the fueling station. i asked one of the clerks how hot it was outside. 115 outside,125 on the highway....and im still sick. snot and all. after we got over the hills just over the california border, the"BGM" cooled down but the temp gage kept dancing between hot and cold. and for all you pee wee herman fans, we stopped and took pictures of the dinosuars from the movie pee wees big adventure. we arrived at our show just as soon as the first band finished. it was a small show, but one of the best shows on the tour so far. we had a chance to play with our old friend Dakota(he filled in on bass for us on a tour a year and some change ago). he has a new band hes with called the mopic. and we also played with a band called the rekoning. the venue is actually a room at their church that they hold shows in. i paused my veg edge for some in and out burger. mmmmm the wonders of tour. nates dad was in the area for work and came out to the show....he'll be in the next few stories.
Day 14 (Fri. Sept 14) Angel City Cafe/Belleflower,Ca WHATS YOUR PRICE? Im not one to talk bad about anyone so ill leave it at that. the bands we played with were awesome bands. one band was also on tour from the cleveland area of ohio. belleflower has some really awesome comic book stores that i wanted to spend all of the band money in. HULK SMASH!!!!! nates dad is an airplane pilot. he flew into LA for work. he was awesome enough to get us hotel rooms for the night b/c we were all starting to get sick.
Day 15 (Sat. Sept.15) Red Planet/Riverside,Ca HOT TUB AND MARY KAY after staying in the hotel we just didnt want to leave. we stayed at a double tree and they have some AWESOME cookies that you get for free. the hot tub called everyone name but mine. there was a mary kay meeting there that we tried to get kristen to join in on. i want one of those pink cadilacs. nates pappa had to fly back out that afternoon and we had another show to play. red planet is actually a cd store by day. they just started doing shows. the show was really small and we had to sell our merch outside after the show.
Day 16 (Sun. Sept.16) Lindseys House/Corona,Ca LOST!?!?!? i hate being lost on tour. we got the wrong directions to the house show and we ended up 50 miles from San Diego. by the time we got to the show, it was too late to play. so we just hung out and played dice. Lindsey and Tabitha were two girls we met at thursdays shows. Lindseys parents we really awesome and were very excited that we showed up. really awesome people.
Day17- 20 (9/17-9/20) Days Off/So-Cal,Ca DENNYS,SURFCITY,NATES BIRTHDAY, BOARDWALK, LATE NIGHTS,SURFING, VIDEOGAMES,VIDEOGAMES,VIDEOGAMES....
Thats basicly what we did on our days off. surfing with Dakota. Hung out everynight with Lindsey and Tabitha and the Manna crew.
Day 21(Fri.Sept. 21) The Kazeem/Brentwood,Ca PRO'LY NOT HAPPENING.... ok,remember a few days back when i said the van over heated? well, i kept an eye on it and had my concerns. it seemed to be ok...until we came back to where we were staying at on thursday night. i checked it over when we got back and it didnt look good. we proceeded to leave Friday morningto head to the show. before we even got on the high way, it over heated. headed back to the manna house, canceled our next two shows in no-cal and proceded to tear apart the van. later in the afternoon i hung out with Justin and brandon from spades and blades.
Day 22 (Sat. Sept. 22) Zombie house/Chico,Ca STILL NOT HAPPENING.... the thermostat and the waterpump had both seen better days. replaced and things seem to be working just fine.
the rest of the band helped out with MANNA on sat. MANNA is a free food colilition. they have a gathering every other sat and hand out food in the park.
Day 23 (Sun. Sept. 23) Manna House/Wittier,Ca one of the gaskets didnt seal up. so i had to tear it apart again and redo it. we dont have anywhere to be until Wed. so no harm,no foul.
Day 24 (Mon. Sept. 24) Jays Apt./Mesa,Az LETS GO. finaly. we are ready to hit the road. vans good, things are packed up. and we're off...to phoenix to crash for the night.
Day 25 (Tues. Sept. 25) Joes Apt/El Paso, Tx van ran fine all the way to jays place in mesa. just a little hot,but the temp gage is still dancing around. stayed long enough to hang out with jay for a few hours and headed to el paso, tx to crash for the night.

| we are on tour right now and we figured you guys would like to hear some of our stories. today we are in riverside ca.. this is an updated log from day one until day 12. we'll post another log in a few days. enjoy.
Day One (Saturday, Sept.1) Assembly of God Church/Macomb,IL After being up all night packing, we were loaded and ready to hit the road by noon. Our first show would have been in Macomb IL. We got about four and a half hours out (about two hours from the venue) and our tire fell off. Thats right- doing 70 on the highway, our rear passenger wheel comes off. Nate safely got us to the shoulder. When Andrew opened his door to get out, he saw said tire, sitting upright there in front of him. It had followed us that eight of a mile stretch we were dragging. Josh immediataly got to work evaluating the situation. Luckily a friend lives not too far from where we were broken down. Our future road help, Paul's sister, Havilah. She came to the rescue and took Josh and Nate to an auto parts store. It appeared that something with that back break siezed up and sheered off the lugs. So Josh tore apart and rebuilt the break, put the tire back on and as a precautionary measure, opted to try to get someone to double check his work the next morning. We were on the side of the road for a total of six hours. Needless to say, we weren't making our first show. Now, trying to locate an open shop on a Sunday, Labor day weekend in Champaign IL. proved impossible. Havi opened up her home to us and she also knew some good old boys who were willing to look things over with Josh. Once everything was squared away, we were on our way to Branson MO.
Day Two (Sunday,Sept.2) Waxey O'Sheas Irish Pub/Branson,MO Our new drummer, Andrew, is orignally from Okmulgee, OK. But he went to the College of the Ozarks in Branson, MO. Being so anxious to show us one of his stomping grounds, he took it upon himself to set up and promote this show at his favorite Irish pub in town. It was interesting and kind of a weird set up, as this place was a sit down resturant, with a small platform of a stage. All Andrews buddies from school and work, along with some family were there for support. He's a well loved fella. We opened things up and did what we do. Kids were trying to dance for us, but employees from the pub stiffeled them. They were doing their best from there on out to show their enthusiasium without disrespecting Waxey's. The band "Ted" was the only other act of the night. They did good for their first show. All in all it was a fun night, it was good to meet Andrew's buddies, and it was nice to see his soon to be wife, Medda. She's a fun gal. We stayed at her place, it was good to fellowship with her. We left the next morning for Alma, AR.
Day Three (Monday,Sept.3) D'Amicos/Alma,AR What you may or may not know about Alma, Arkansas, is that it is the spinach capital of the world. The town looks a bit like a ghost town, but there's this lovely little square filled with vibrancey and colour. Very well landscaped and kept, where a bronze Popeye stature proudly displaying an open can of spinach, sits atop a fountain, right in the center. we met up with flatfoot 56 for this show. shows in small towns like this, just get crazy. theres nothing for these kids to do so when they have a chance to go nuts, they get crazy. the venue, a few shows back, ran into a problem with the village police department and was simple told to move out of town. we played the next to last show at that venue before it moves to ft smith,ar.
Day Four (Tuesday,Sept.4) PART I The Aim/Olkmulgee,Ok
After the D'amico show we (flatfoot 56/FBS)headed back to Andrews dads house to stay the night. Today we were going to play a double header. The AIM had just moved their locations,so we were a little concerned about the turn out. The owner had moved the venue closer to town and was using an old bar. the show went smoothly and we wraped things up early to make it to Tulsa,Ok to finished off our night.
PART II Mercury lounge/Tulsa,Ok Flatfoot had played a wedding a few weeks back and gotten a contact for this venue. same area, same time, we figured we playa few dates together and have some fellowship time. The venue used to be a gas station. they had a cool rockabilly-greaser vibe going on. for being a tuesday night there was a lot of people in this little old gas station bar. we headed back to andrews dads house for the night and split was with flatfoot 56 in the morning.
Day Five (Wed,Sept.5) The Factory/Oklahoma City,Ok This was also a new venue and its not the most poplular place in okc for shows right now. from what i understand there were suppose to be a total of five bands playing. only three showed up. us and two other local bands. our friend paul decided that since his lease was up we'd pack up and hit the road with us. giving us and extra hand selling merch.
Day Six(Thurs,Sept.6) Headhunters/Austin,Tx We had heard alot about how hit or miss austin was. the show was a small show but we made some new contacts and friends at the show. one of the guys who was running the place for the night took me around to all the other venues on the same strip and told us where we should play for the best turn outs and where not to. one of the new friend we made were the band that got us on the bill, capital scam. they put on a good shows and let us stay at their bass players house.
Day Seven (Fri,Sept.7) Java Junction/Houston,Tx its been almost two years since we played houston last. and as soon as we got to the venue, a fight broke out. some kids and their older brothers had showed up to just some punk rocker. we wanted no part of the fight between the kids and the owner of the venue, so we left to get some food and let things cool down a little. the show was a cover show. there were 6 or 7 other bands besides us who were playing a whole set of another popular punk band. the shiney darks played a whole set of the ramones. this show was simple amazing. we played last and everyone stuck around to listen to us. from the first note to the last note, they just went nuts.
Day Eight (Sat,Sept.8) Jiggers/San Antonio,Tx ITS OKI'S BIRTHDAY!!!!! we rolled into san an right after our houston show. eddie form OCD put us up for the night. amanda and devan showed up with a carrot cake, ice cream and root beer for kristens birthday. OCD was suppose to play the show too but work scheduals got in the way. the show was weird. the venue was a cool little bar but there was only one supporting act that showed up. anther abnd had to back out b/c thier lead singer got pulled over and arrested and another band just didnt show. there was some old friends and new faces there just to see us play. after the show we were going to got and 80's dance club for kristens b-day. paul, isnt 21 so he couldnt get in. kristen and devan went ahead with the dance club. the rest of us went to i-hop for coffee. eddie passed us onto jason of OCD for the night. i like jasons dog.
Day Nine(Sun,Sept.9) DAY OFF/San Antonio,TX first day off of the tour. the church (rise above ministries) that OCD works with was having service in the park. a nice little picnic that after service turned into a water ballon fight. they had a skelleton pinata for the kids to smack around. after service we went to devan and amandas place to go swiming, then SUSHI!!!!!!! best time, and food we had all tour. we are all sushi fans and it was nice to have more fellowship. i started to feel like i was getting a cold or the flu.
Day Ten(Mon,Sept.10) Chics/El Paso,Tx IM SICK! if there is one thing i hate while im on tour is getting sick. when i woke up i was feeling horrible. the whole ride to el paso i jsut kept feeling worse and worse. el paso always comes through with great shows. the venue, shut down and there were complications with getting another venue. so we had a house show. i love house shows and i hate being sick. we headed over to the promoters house and i got some medicine. not to long after later, i was out like a light. too much cold medicine i suppose.
Day Eleven(Tues.Sept.11) The Living Room/Tucson,Az
im still sick. greenish yellow snot and lung butter just keeps coming. my throat is feeling pretty raw and my head is ready to explode. other than putting a killer show, im concerned that i will get everyone else sick. note to self: dont jump on things when you are sick and you have no sense of balance. we played with 2 really awesome punk bands and a workingclass oi band. they all put on a great show and made us have to actually work at putting a great show. second song into our set i turned around to jump on the bass drum so i could play my solo on top of it. not tonight. i missed the drum and fell right into the drum kit. eveyone tried to finish the song while i just sat there trying to get up. tour+sick+ cold medicine=disaster. the rest of the set was not as entertaining as that but the kids went nuts. headed to pheonix to crash for the night and take a day off to hang out with jay and his wife.
